Day 280 Love Me More

Though you have not seen him, you love him; and even though you do not see him now, you believe in him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy,… 1 Peter 1:8

I love Him more and more and it brings me inexpressible joy.

God loves you more than you could ever imagine.

He created your inmost being and knit you together in your mother's womb.

His bonds of love tie me close to Him. He has such love for you and me.

And I have great love for Him.
  • The love of me -- the sinner toward Him -- my Savior
  • The love of me -- the rescued toward Him -- my Rescuer
  • The love of me -- the sheep toward Him -- my Shepherd
  • The love of me -- the little girl toward Him -- the Father

Even in the difficulties of my life journey – Oh how I love him more and more.

My prayer for you is that you feel His love more and more too and that your life is filled with unspeakable joy.

God Bless Your Heart,

Gigi

Day 182 Attack Fear

And Moses said…Fear not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will show you today.” Exodus 14:13

Life simply presents itself with issues that can cause fear if we let it take hold.

The economy brings fear of losing our investments.

Our health issues bring fear of major illness.

Job concerns bring fear of cutbacks.

Family relationships bring fear of rejection or hurt feelings.

What sorrow or difficulty brings fear to your heart?

I have a solution for you.

God’s Word encourages us to stand still. We can trust God to help us remain calm in the midst of the storm.

Laughter and Love – two great weapons against fear.

As we face the challenges of the day, how can we sharpen our weapons of warfare against fear?

Just like Jesus, we can use the Sword of the Spirit – the Word of God. Taking Scripture and speaking it aloud to our fear will make it turn tail and run.

God Bless Your Heart with Love and Laughter

Day 134 The Love of a Lover

Tell me, you whom I love, where you graze your flock and where you rest your sheep at midday. Song of Solomon 1:7

God loves you. He delights in your desires as much as He delights in your obedience.

Pray and Obey. This is what brings us closer to the Lord.

Friend to friend is the way we dare approach God.

Jesus came as the world's greatest lover. You have the Holy Spirit in you giving you the grace to live like He did. To love as He did.

A lover understands our motives and our aspirations. I have aspirations that are not understood by everyone in my sphere of influence. I've learned I can't expect others to understand but I know God understands the desires of my heart. I know my husband Steve understands my dreams.

Some of what is on my heart and in my thoughts and my writing is a foreign language to others. I've learned not to judge those who don't understand me.

God, the lover of my soul, understands. Why not tell him your dreams?

God bless your heart with love of the master.

Day 115 Bless Your Enemies

But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. Matthew 5:44

That's a pretty heady Scripture to carry out. But with God's strength we can live this way. I know there is no way I can do it on my own.

Have you ever had a falling out with someone and then find yourself secretly wishing they would be taught a lesson?

Do you ever say "Serves them right." when a bad thing happens to someone who hurts you?

This isn't God's way. He asks us to bless them and leave the correcting and training to Him.

God gives us one important task. Love. We need to leave the rest up to Him.

Love breaks down the hard stuff and builds success.

God is love. He destroys evil and creates what is good.

Do you want harmony, beauty, joy and happiness? Then use God in your life to grace you with the ability to love all – even your enemies.

God Bless Your Heart,

Gigi

Day 106 Love Your Servants

And we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in him. 1 John 4:16

God loves us, his servants. Jesus is one with the Father and we are one with Him. So we are love…
  • To those we teach
  • To those we work with
  • To those we work for
  • To our neighbors
  • To our friends
  • To our family
  • To that stranger who crosses your path
Our goal is to put love into action in our daily lives.

Perfect love = perfect forgiveness. Where God is there is no lack of forgiveness. Where there is lack of forgiveness there is really a lack of love.

Oh help me God to forgive those who have broken my heart or hurt me in some way. I know You will give me the perfect love to pass on to others.

So love God first. He will give you the grace to love others. Pray much for love. Tender love is the secret.

God Bless Your Heart as you examine your acts of love today.

Day 60 Shower Love

The righteous cry and the Lord hears. Psalm 34:17

God hears my cry. But sometimes I don't wait to hear Him speak. What God has to say about my situation matters much and He speaks to me through His Word.

The Bible has much to say about everything going on in my life. From Genesis to Revelation its message speaks. God's Words bring life. They have a healing power that strengthens my soul.

Don't let the enemy try to convince you that the Bible is a meaningless old story book that has nothing to do with your life in 2010.

Oh Contraire!

It is full of life giving Words penned by man but inspired by the very heart of God. The same God who carved the oceans and painted the mountains green and spoke light into existence breathed life onto the pages of the Bible.

The Word of God – the Bible – showers His love all throughout the pages. These words are life. They bring healing. They are love.

I will never forget when I discovered a Scripture from Psalm 139 that spoke to my wondering heart in the days after my son Gabe was born with short arms and crooked legs. There was so much doubt and uncertainty and fear about our future gripping my soul.

My friend Dianne Bratz wrote Gabe a letter to remind him what God had to say about his life. In the letter Dianne quoted Psalm 139:13-16.

When I looked up this Psalm it spoke to me that God knit Gabe together in my womb and made him fearful and wonderful. God reminded me that Gabe's frame was not hidden from Him and that all of the days fashioned for him were written in God's book even before one of them came to be.

God's Word showered healing to my broken heart with love for me and for my family.

Truly, my life has never been the same since I've been reading the Bible on a daily basis.

Every day my time in God's Word fills my cup to overflowing and gives me the strength to face the day.

I hope you will take the time to tell me about your favorite Bible verse or your Bible reading time and how it changed your life. Please leave a comment on my blog or on Facebook.  I'd love to hear from you.

God Bless Your Heart,

Gigi

Day 55 Share Everything

And all things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation. 2 Corinthians 5:18

Love draws others to you. When God sends someone into your life show them the same love that Jesus has poured out on you.

Welcome each one with a royal welcome. Pull out the red carpet of love.

Share it all with everyone. Your joy, peace, grace, gifts, time, food, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, self control, faithfulness and love is to be given away.

Watch what happens when you share these gifts. I think God will surprise you with what He has planned.

Today on my way to work I listened to a Salvador CD that I had not heard in a long time. I love this Latino group's heart. The words to their songs touch a deep place in my soul. I wanted to keep driving instead of pulling into work.

One of these days I'm going to write a book about how the words to songs are used by God to draw us into His presence and peace.

I often write in my journal using the words to songs. God speaks to me in worship and song.

I lift up the name of God and the peace that passes all understanding guides my mind and my heart for the rest of the day. It is powerful! It makes me want to share it with everyone!

I hope you are encouraged. I bless you with the grace to share your love with someone new. You may be the only one to smile at them today.

God Bless Your Heart,

Gigi
