These things have I spoken unto you, that your joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. John 15:11
Joy is Heaven's music. Quiet your heart and listen to the songs of joy.
Today I think of my good friend Dottie. She is joy all over the place. Even the license plates on her car say Oh JOY!
Six years ago in the middle of the enormous grief of losing her beloved husband David, Dottie lifted her hands in praise and sang her heart out to the Lord.
I want that kind of joy.
I thought a lot about her and her family today because it is David's birthday. We all miss him so much.
I've been praying for her and asking God to continue to bring joy to her life.
The joy of Dottie's life is contagious.
When you choose to pass joy to others by a kind text message, a phone call, a nice card, an email or even a Facebook post, the ripple effect of that love and joy is eternal.
Because I keep a journal, I have volumes of notes about joy stones that have continued to bring fruit in my life.
A sweet word, a much needed hug, a compliment on an insecure day all have an effect like a pebble tossed into a pond. The joy spreads in ever widening circles to others in my sphere of influence.
This week we are talking about our sphere of influence in Bible study. Gotta love it!
I pray that today you will toss a joy stone in someone else's pond and watch the contagious ripple effect spread wide.
God bless your heart,
Gigi

I loved this line. I so enthralled by water and could look at a river, lake or ocean for hours. To think my life could have that same profound effect on someone else is encouraging. Thanks for the inspiration.
